Kerry Katona might not be a happy bunny when she hears the news that her Iceland chum Coleen Nolan is taking part in Dancing On Ice 2009.

According to New magazine Kerry really wanted to take part herself but wasn’t given the opportunity.

Kerry allegedly told the New source: “Phillip put the shutters down on the idea just because I spoke my mind.

“We’d been in talks before I appeared on This Morning, so I can only assume this was in a way related to that.”

It looks like Kerry will have to accept that Coleen will be in the competition for a while as she is rumoured to be the John Sergeant of Dancing On Ice 2009 as her Loose Women fans will no doubt keep her in the competition however badly she skates.

She might only be six years older than Melinda Messenger but the public are expected to give her the sympathy vote.

Coleen has even told the Mirror: “Women get written off as they get older and I’m the token oldie.

“I want to say to any women out there who think it’s over on their 40th birthday: it’s really not. You can do anything if you set your mind to it.”

KERRY Katona is making a mockery of her bankrupt status — by driving a new £55,000 car.

An inquiry was under way last night to find out how the former Atomic Kitten singer obtained the 200mph limited edition 3.8 litre Nissan GT-R.

All her assets are supposed to be under the control of a bankruptcy trustee, whose job is to ensure creditors are paid.

Kerry, 28, was made bankrupt last summer over an £82,000 tax bill, and last month her £70,000 Porsche Cabriolet was towed away after she defaulted on repayments.

The trustee in Kerry’s case, accountants Baker Tilly, said: “We will definitely be investigating.”

The Iceland ads star is also said to be struggling with payments on her £1.2million home in Wilmslow, Cheshire. A spokesman said Kerry and hubby Mark Croft, 38, got the Nissan from a dealer in a swap for their Porsche Cayenne.

Her weight-loss surgery which included liposuction and a breast reduction, has allowed the ‘Crazy in Love’ star to drop from a size 16 to a shocking 8/10.

In May this year Kerry weighed 12st, just seven months later she has shed nearly 4st taking her down to 8st 7lb.

Recently snapped out jogging, Kerry is now rumoured to be on a strict diet and exercise regime to maintain her fantastic new figure.

The mother of four has never looked better and after spending so much to look this good, hopefully she’ll keep it up!

Kerry, 28 has always battled with her weight and she has always been honest about her weight-loss surgery.

Hopefully 2009 will be the year Kerry gets back on track, only a few days in and it looks like she plans to.

Brian McFadden has revealed that he gave away all of Kerry Katona’s clothes to his relatives.

The former Westlife singer admitted that he got rid of all of Katona’s designer gear by giving it to members of his family.

“I invited all my sisters’ friends and all my cousins around to the house and literally opened up the wardrobe and said, ‘Have what you like’,” he said on his Fox FM breakfast show.

“All my cousins, they live down in the country in Ireland so they live on farms and stuff, are all walking around small villages in Dolce & Gabbana dresses and Gucci shoes and the like.

“She [Katona] did not know, but she knows now.”

McFadden recently denied claims that he will seek custody of his daughters Molly, seven, and six-year-old Lilly-Sue.

One picture is captioned “Enlarge Mel Smith”, a cruel slight given Smith’s far-from-frail appearance.

The Alas Smith And Jones star appeared to slur his words and one report said he was ‘pale, shaky and twitchy’ … fans speculated that the 56-year-old Alas Smith And Jones star was suffering the after-effects of a stroke.

Of course, it’s all a terrific misunderstanding and the Mail has been too quick to point fingers and be afeared. And here’s the explainer, with sympathetic back story:

Says a BBC spokesman:

“Mel was unwell on the day of recording with a serious throat infection. He was representing a charity and didn’t want to let them down. We were grateful he went ahead with the recording despite not being at his best.”

What a trooper. Just like Kerry Katona, who bares an uncanny resemblance to the former TV funnyman. Might they be related, if not by birth then at least by condition?
